The Pontiac Fiero was a midsized sports car that replaced the aging G-body platform in 1983. The two generations of Fieros had mixed reviews with respect to performance and handling; however, they were popular for their affordability and style.
Pontiac is a former American automaker that has been in operation since 1926. It began as an independent company before being acquired by General Motors (GM) in 1954. In 1987 GM sold its North American operations including Pontiac to Chrysler Corporation which later merged it into DaimlerChrysler AG in 1998. After several years under Fiat ownership, Chrysler spun off most of its non-luxury brands such as Jeep, Dodge, Ram Trucks, Mopar, Viper, SRT, etc., back to themselves on January 1, 2007. The remaining assets were then purchased by Cerberus Capital Management who renamed the new entity FCA US LLC. On April 2, 2009, FCA announced plans to sell all but one brand: Pontiac. This was done so that FCA could focus more attention on developing vehicles with higher profit margins.

Engine Performance:
The Pontiac Fiero GT for sale is an all-around great car. I first got my Pontiac Fiero GT on June 24th, 2017 and it has been amazing since. It had a few bumps in the road that had to be repaired, but nothing major. The engine performance is good on the standard model because of its 4-cylinder 2.8L V6 engine with 12 valves. However, if you want more power then there are two options; 1) You can get the optional 5-speed manual transmission or 2) Get the 6-speed automatic transmission which will give you better fuel economy than the manual version.
